Entrepreneur magazine highlighted the pro bono work of the Law School’s Brooklyn Legal Incubator and Policy (BLIP) Clinic, which “helps startups navigate legislative, regulatory and judicial obstacles.”
Professor Jonathan Askin explained to Entrepreneur that lawyers and business owners can be intimidated by legal obstacles, however, BLIP exists to help them navigate such obstacles. “Too many lawyers stop wonderful ideas dead in their tracks because they're worried about dotting every i and crossing every t,” he said. “If a law doesn't enable innovation, lawyers should work to reform the law.”
