Gershengorn, a partner in the New York office of Ogletree Deakins Nash Smoak & Stewart, P.C., is running in the 2014 NYC Marathon as part of a team sponsored by the Burke Rehabilitation Center to raise funds to create and build a lower extremity robotics program at Burke. Gershengorn represents clients in employment, wage and hour, class action and traditional labor matters. (10/10/2014)

Joshua R. Kopelowitz, a member of New York real estate law firm, Rosenberg & Estis, P.C., published an article in the New York Law Journal, "Are Yellowstone Waivers Enforceable?" (4/10/14). Galete J. Levin became a partner at Cullen and Dykman in the firm's Banking Department in April 2013. Levin joined the firm upon graduation from law school, and she represents real estate lenders and financial institutions in commercial lending matters, principally mortgage loans secured by multi-family and commercial real estate in a variety of states. Nicholas J. Minella, previously an agency attorney in the Legal Division of the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs, was appointed an Assistant Attorney General in the Enforcement Unit of the Real Estate Bureau at the NY Attorney General's Office. Minella investigates complaints regarding cooperative and condominium securities offerings and prosecutes violators under the Martin Act and the NY Executive Law. He is also a Captain, Judge Advocate in the U.S. Army Reserve. (3/10/2014)

Winston M. Paes was promoted to Deputy Chief of the Business and Securities Fraud Section of the U.S. Attorney's Office, EDNY. Paes joined the U.S. Attorney's Office in 2008 and from April 2012 until February 2014 he also served as the Office's Health Care Fraud Coordinator and supervised the Medicare Fraud Strike Force in that capacity. Prior to joining the Office, he served as a litigation associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP. (6/13/2014)
