We encourage you to take advantage of the many benefits of being a member of the Brooklyn Law School Alumni Association. Current Association members are entitled to use of the law school library, participation in special Alumni Association events, significant discounts on CLE credits at Brooklyn Law School sponsored conferences, and discounts with several retailers, including an exciting new offer for discount tickets to Brooklyn Nets games and events at the new Barclays Center.
Access to the Law School Library
Association members have unlimited access to the library’s print resources and limited access to certain digital resources for research purposes while in the library. Books cannot be checked out. While in the library, members also have access to LexisNexis Academic, a limited version of Lexis accessible from the Library home page under the database list. It contains Federal and State Case Law, and Statutory and Regulatory databases. It also has a limited run of law reviews and features the Shepards citation service. Members are asked to bring their own laptops for use in library and can access the internet with an Ethernet cord, or wirelessly with a guest username and password obtained from the Circulation Desk.
Discounted CLE Credits
Association members pay discounted rates for CLE credits at BLS sponsored programs. CLE Credits are $10/credit for members, which is a 75% discount on the regular cost of $40/credit. Visit the calendar of events for upcoming programs.
Alumni Association members enjoy no application fee and pay only a $25 annual membership fee. Members enjoy the following discounted rates from M-F: $10.25/hour vs. standard rate of $16.50/hour; $76/day (24 hour period) vs. $160 standard rate; $66 rate for 7am -7pm which is not offered under standard plan. Discount Tickets for Brooklyn Nets Games and Events at Barclays Center
Alumni Association members have access to an online ticket servicing link to purchase discount tickets for games and events at the Barclays Center, the new home of the Brooklyn Nets. View available games and events, including special offers for Nets vs. Knicks on December 5 and Andrea Bocelli in concert on December 11. 10% Discount at the BLS Bookstore
Association members receive a 10% discount on purchases at the BLS Bookstore when they present their alumni card.
