Brooklyn Law School has earned a well-deserved reputation for the number and quality of legal programs organized by our esteemed faculty through the Law School’s many distinguished centers for specialized fields of law. Many of these symposia offer CLE credit. Members of the Alumni Association pay a reduced fee for such credits.
"Bridge the Gap" is a special law school-subsidized program for recent graduates to fulfill their first-year mandatory continuing legal education requirement. Attorneys admitted to the New York State Bar after October 1997 are required to complete 16 hours of approved continuing legal education courses per year during the first two years of admission. By attending the "Bridge the Gap" program, you can satisfy your annual requirements for Mandatory Continuing Legal Education for Newly Admitted Attorneys in the State of New York at one time.
This year's "Bridge the Gap" program will be held the weekend of January 23, 2010. All 2009 and 2008 graduates who have not already attended a "Bridge the Gap" program are eligible to attend. The cost of the program is $25 for 2008 graduates. If you are a member of the Class of 2009, a $25 gift to the Annual Fund will allow you to attend "Bridge the Gap" and become a member of the Alumni Association for the 2009-2010 year.
