The Science for Judges program, which is funded through a grant by the Common Benefit Trust established in the Silicone Breast Implant Products Liability Litigation, was developed for federal and state judges as a forum in which to discuss current scientific issues that arise in litigation.
The Science for Judges sessions are held at Brooklyn Law School under the direction of Professor Margaret Berger and the school’s Center for Health, Science and Public Policy. The programs are presented in collaboration with the Federal Judicial Center, the National Center for State Courts, and the National Academy of Sciences' Panel on Science, Law and Technology.
