Ms. Adler joined the Career Center in April, 2003 following six years with two New York City legal search firms where she recruited and placed lawyers in permanent and temporary positions, and advised candidates on career development issues. Ms. Adler received her J.D. from the Boston University School of Law in 1989, following which she was an Assistant District Attorney for four years in Kings County. Ms. Adler also practiced for three years as an Associate Attorney with the New York City Housing Authority.

Ms. Bainnson joined the Career Center in April, 2009 following a thirteen-year career as a litigator with two firms—one handling plaintiff-side employment litigation and the other handling complex litigation with a specialty in mass torts. Ms. Bainnson received her J.D. from Cornell law School in 1995 where she was Editor of the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy and was a member and later Chancellor of the Moot Court Board. While a student at Cornell she was a member of the Career Placement and Planning Committee and the Women’s Law Coalition, which sponsored a student mentoring program. Ms. Bainnson has attended numerous professional development seminars and belongs to several career-related organizations.

Ms. Walsh Fitzpatrick joined the Career Center in October 2006. She graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 2000, and while in law school, held internships with the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, the New York City Office of Housing Preservation and Development, and worked for two small law firms. After graduating, she worked for five years as a litigator with a real estate boutique in Manhattan, where she represented large multi-use commercial building owners. Ms. Walsh-Fitzpatrick was an associate director with the Career Center from October 2006 through August 2010 and left in order to get more involved in her local community and children’s schools. She returned to the Career Center in her previous role in the fall of 2012. Ms. Walsh-Fitzpatrick was a member of the New York County Lawyers’ Association for over ten years and volunteers with various organizations.

Ms. Selman joined the Career Center in August, 2010 following a corporate law career at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP and Shearman & Sterling LLP. At both firms, Ms. Selman mentored junior associates, spoke on various recruiting and associate development panels and participated in mock interview programs.  Ms. Selman received her J.D. from Fordham Law School in 2005, where she was the Symposium Editor of the Fordham Urban Law Journal and a member of the Fordham Family and Child Advocacy Clinic.  Ms. Selman is also a member of the Domestic Violence Committee of the New York City Bar Association.

Ms. Stephen joined the Career Center in September 2008 following five and a half years with the Office of Career Services at the Hofstra University School of Law. Ms. Stephen received her J.D. in 1996 from Hofstra where she was an associate editor for the Hofstra Labor Law Journal. Following graduation she was a litigation associate for six years at Kaye Scholer LLP, where she served on the Diversity and Legal Personnel committees. Among her leadership roles, Ms. Stephen is a past chair of the Law Student Perspectives Committee of the New York City Bar.

Ms. Vargo joined the Career Center in July, 2011 following eight years as an Assistant District Attorney in New York County where she was a member of the Public Assistance Fraud and Domestic Violence units. She received her J.D. from Fordham Law School in 2003, where she was the Editor-in-Chief of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal.
