Public Service Graduation Awards
Brooklyn Law School honors members of each graduating class who completed at least 50 hours of pro bono and/or public service during their three or four years at Brooklyn. Public service for purposes of the Graduation Awards includes legal work in volunteer, government (except judicial) and non-profit settings, whether or not it is paid. Awards are based on the numbers of hours of public service work completed and are as follows:
50-249 hours: The Brooklyn Law School Pro Bono Award
250-499 hours: The Silver Brooklyn Law School Pro Bono Award
500-999 hours: The Gold Brooklyn Law School Pro Bono Award
1000+ hours: The Platinum Brooklyn Law School Pro Bono Award
The Public Service Awards Ceremony for the graduates of 2008 will be in March on a date to be announced in the Subotnick Center (keynote speaker to be announced). The Awards Ceremony will be followed by a reception. All students, faculty and staff are invited to join us in celebrating and honoring these graduates.
