The Law Firm Challenge aims to reconnect alumni to their alma mater by fostering a community among law firms, while promoting support for the Law School. By participating, firms strengthen the Brooklyn Law School network, enhance their own profile, support the next generation of BLS lawyers, and help the School continue to flourish.
Charitable giving is a leading indicator of a school’s alumni loyalty noted by prospective students, and considered by foundations and corporations when directing financial support. Led by one or more alumni Representatives, law firms are challenged to achieve 100% annual giving participation. While the gifts are individual, Brooklyn Law School graduates work together to achieve the goal of collective participation.
Currently in its third year, the Law Firm Challenge runs parallel with Brooklyn Law School’s fiscal year (July 1 through June 30). Any gifts received before June 30, 2012 from alumni at participating firms counts toward the 2011-2012 Challenge and is reflected in each firm’s overall percentage.
