Our Essential Source of Growth
Brooklyn Law School would be a very different place without the Annual Fund. Like all professional schools, colleges and universities, the Law School relies on a combination of tuition and philanthropic support to fund operational expenses. The Annual Fund is the cornerstone of our fundraising efforts, combining contributions of all sizes from alumni, faculty, staff, and friends. Gifts are unrestricted, tax-deductible, and provide current use dollars that affect every aspect of life at the Law School.
A donation of any amount is also a gift of participation. Charitable giving is a leading indicator of a school’s community loyalty for prospective students, considered by foundations and corporations when directing gifts, and used as an important factor by U.S. News and World Report for ranking.
When you donate to the Annual Fund your gift impacts the School immediately, in the following ways:
- We are positioned to attract the highest caliber students with competitive scholarship support and affordable student housing. In 2009, more than two-thirds of our students scored in the top eleven percent of LSAT-takers nationwide.
- We are able to attract an accomplished, first-class faculty of leaders and scholars to prepare the next generation of lawyers.
- We can maintain and advance our innovative academic program, including our nationally recognized clinical, legal writing, and moot court programs. Our newest addition, the BLS Incubator and Policy Clinic, in which students advise Internet and digital technology startup companies, is just one example.
- We can sponsor exciting new programs and symposia, continue important work on our infrastructure, and maintain our competitive advantage among the country’s top law schools.
Your commitment to our success is invaluable. Please continue your support by making a donation at one of the following levels:
