On March 21, we will be holding the 23rd Annual BLSPI Auction. The evening includes both a live and silent auction. Items up for bid have included everything from sports tickets and memorabilia to gift certificates for great area restaurants, networking and social opportunities with our law school faculty, artwork and jewelry donated by local businesses, and even the chance to share a meal with some of Brooklyn Law School’s most famous alumni, including Geraldo Rivera. And, of course, all attendees will be able to partake in complementary appetizers and hors d’oeuvres and enjoy an open beer and wine bar.

The money we raise will fund BLSPI’s numerous public interest initiatives, all of which are designed to improve the lives of people in need. One of the principal initiatives made possible by the auction is the BLSPI Fellowship Program. Each year, we give out summer fellowships to 20 deserving and dedicated students, allowing them to take on public interest legal positions that would otherwise be unpaid.

If you are interested in helping to support this year’s auction, you can make a donation online. If you would like to donate an item or experience, get involved in another way, or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Auction Co-Chairs at blspi.auction@brooklaw.edu.

We hope to see you in March!

  • BLSPI is a student-run, non-profit organization that encourages and enables student participation in public interest legal positions. Hundreds of students, alumni, and professors attend the auction and bid on donations every year.

All money raised at the auction directly funds BLSPI initiatives, including academic presentations, clothing and food drives, and community service trips. Most importantly, auction proceeds help fund the Annual BLSPI Summer Fellowship Program, one of the most prestigious awards at Brooklyn Law School. Each fellowship provides a stipend that allows a student to work in a summer internship that would otherwise be unpaid. BLSPI Fellows have a direct impact on our local, national, and international communities.
