Arizona Alumni Reception
April 25, 2009

The Law School welcomes Arizona alumni for hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, networking, and conversation at the home of Lawrence `75 and Fran Sucharow. The reception is on Saturday, April 25, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Spouses and guests are welcome. There is no charge for this event.

2009 Class Reunions
This year’s Class Reunions will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2009 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers. The classes celebrating their reunions are from 1959, 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, and 2004.

Please join us at Chelsea Piers for a festive evening of reconnecting with classmates and professors, reliving old memories, and creating new ones while taking in the beautiful views of the Hudson River.

Events for Recent Graduates
This spring’s Cocktail Party for Recent Graduates will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Public House in Manhattan. We invite graduates from the classes of 2000-2008 to reconnect with each other and visit with their former professors.

Boca Raton Brunch
March 22, 2009

Dean Joan G. Wexler traveled to Boca Raton, Florida on March 22, 2009 to have brunch with Florida area graduates of Brooklyn Law School. The brunch, held at the Polo Club of Boca Raton, was well attended by alums ranging from the Class of 1949 to the Class of 2003. To read more about the event click here.


Philadelphia Alumni Reunion with Faculty Lecture by Professor Roberta Karmel
March 14, 2009

On March 14, 2009 the Law School welcomed Philadelphia area alumni for hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, networking, and conversation with Brooklyn Law School Professor Roberta Karmel. The event was well attended and everyone enjoyed Professor Karmel’s timely insight into the future of the SEC and financial institutions. Thanks to Tim `74 and Hope Ulrich for their generosity and support in organizing and hosting this event.


Washington, DC Alumni Reception
On Saturday, October 4 the Law School hosted an alumni reception at Sequoia Restaurant in Washington D.C.

The event was extremely well attended and alumni were thrilled to catch up with each other, learn about exciting changes happening at the Law School, and visit with current Brooklyn Law School Students.

Alumni Association Luncheon
This year’s Annual Luncheon was held on Friday, October 31, 2008 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the W New York Hotel in New York City.

Our honorees were Warren T. Lazarow `86, Partner at O’Melveny & Myers LLP; Eileen T. Nugent `78, Partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP; and Nicholas Scoppetta `62, Fire Commissioner of New York City.

Los Angeles Alumni Reception and Faculty Lecture
The Law School held an Alumni Reception and Lecture by Associate Dean Lawrence Solan on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the Jonathan Club in downtown Los Angeles.

The Law School returned to Boston for an Alumni Reception on Saturday, November 1, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Nine Zero Hotel, for a great night of hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and conversation with Brooklyn Law School Professor Edward Cheng. To read more, click here.


Legal Symposia/CLE
Brooklyn Law School has earned a well-deserved reputation for the number and quality of legal programs organized by our esteemed faculty through the Law School’s many distinguished centers for specialized fields of law. Many of these symposia offer CLE credit. Members of the Alumni Association pay a reduced fee for such credits.
