Advanced Topics in Commercial Law Seminar

Prerequisite: One of the following courses: Commercial Transactions: Secured Transactions, Commercial Transactions: Sales and Secured Transactions, Commercial Transactions This seminar will address a variety of contemporary issues in commercial law that go beyond the coverage of the basic commercial transactions course. Topics will include (i) application of the Uniform Commercial Code to issues raised by the mortgage crisis, (ii) security interests in sophisticated financial transactions, and (iii) the use of guaranties and other suretyship devices in credit transactions.
